Engineered emission-control solution

HC IFR

Full-contact internal floating roof.

An aluminium internal floating roof concept for applications where emission performance, practical installation and long-term operability all matter.

Design intent

Reduce emissions without creating a new operating problem.

The roof is only one part of the emission-control system. The deck, rim seal, penetrations, tank geometry and operating conditions have to work together.

HC IFR is therefore treated as an engineered tank solution rather than a stand-alone component. Application starts with the required outcome and the conditions inside the tank.

Design priorities

Performance in the tank, not just on the drawing.

01

Full contact

A deck concept intended to minimise vapour space directly beneath the floating roof.

02

Integrated sealing

Roof and rim-seal performance are considered together as part of the emission-control objective.

03

Practical installation

Designed with the realities of tank access, assembly and project execution in mind.

04

Lifecycle thinking

Inspection, operation and maintainability are considered alongside initial emission performance.

In the field

Application

Part of the emission-reduction decision.

A full-contact IFR is not automatically the right answer for every tank.

Emission Zero can review the existing tank, operating conditions, seal concept and project constraints, quantify the emission picture and determine whether HC IFR is an appropriate route.
