Structure & load path
Member stability, gussets, connections and load combinations are assessed as one structural system.
Aluminium geodesic dome roof
A lightweight aluminium dome engineered as part of the complete tank: structure, panel system, supports, watertightness, access and installation are considered together rather than as isolated components.
An aluminium dome carries relatively little dead load compared with the environmental load cases it may be required to resist. Structural assumptions, member stability, gussets, fasteners and tank support reactions therefore matter long before a problem becomes visible in service.
EZdome is developed around the complete load path and the complete operating interface: panels and gaskets, tank supports, water tightness, walkways, platforms, constructability and future access are part of the same design decision.
Selected archive photographs from earlier engineering and brochure material. They illustrate proven design principles; current EZdome configurations are engineered to the project and may differ in detail.
Member stability, gussets, connections and load combinations are assessed as one structural system.
Panel shaping, restraint, gasket compression and joint detailing are treated as a long-term water-management problem.
Support philosophy and tank-shell reactions are coordinated with the existing or new tank structure.
Erection sequence, access, walkways, platforms and maintainability are considered during design, not after it.
The final code basis is project-specific. EZdome engineering can be developed against applicable tank and aluminium structural requirements, including API 650 and relevant EN / Eurocode requirements where specified.
Emission Zero can review the application before turning it into a product configuration or project specification.
